Indocement and the Maros Regency Government signed an Agreement on the Utilization of Waste into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) on February 7, 2025, at the Citeureup Plant Complex. The signing was carried out by Indocement's General Manager of Procurement & AFAM, Seogito Kurniawan, and the elected Regent of Maros, H. Andi Syafril Chaidir Syam, S.IP., M.H., witnessed by Indocement Director Antonius Marcos, Member of Commission II of Maros Regency DRPD Andi Anugrah, Head of the Maros Regency Environmental Service Amiruddin, and President Director of the Regional Corporation PT Bumi Maros Sejahtera.

In his speech, the Indocement Director expressed gratitude for the willingness of the Maros Regency Government to collaborate with Indocement in addressing the waste problem in Maros Regency, which itself produces approximately 150 tons of waste per day. Indocement will utilize the RDF produced at the Maros Plant Complex to reduce coal consumption.
