Indocement hosted a visit from the Deputy Minister of Environment of Indonesia, Diaz Hendropriyono, and the Secretary of West Java Province, Drs. Herman Suryatman, M.Si. on April 23, 2025. They were welcomed by Indocement's President Director, Christian Kartawijaya, and his team.
During the visit, the delegation toured the alternative fuel feeding facilities at the Citeureup Factory, including the hotdisc facility at Plant 11 and the vecoplant facility at Plant 14. They observed the process of dumping refuse-derived fuel (RDF) at Plant 14. The visit also included a tree-planting activity with Indocement's female employees at the Lulut Nambo Regional Waste Processing and Final Disposal Site (TPPAS), as part of Indocement's 50th anniversary celebrations on August 4, 2025. Indocement has an RDF Supply Agreement with PT Jabar Bersih Lestari, signed in 2018, to support this initiative. Indocement has built infrastructure to facilitate RDF delivery, including roads and bridges connecting the Gunung Putri Toll Gate to TPPAS Lulut Nambo.
The RDF supply from TPPAS Lulut Nambo is expected to meet the alternative fuel needs of the Citeureup Factory, which requires 2,500 tons daily. Currently, Indocement faces a shortfall of about 1,000 tons per day. One of the suppliers, TPST Bantargebang, provides 450-500 tons of RDF daily. Similarly, the Cirebon Factory processes alternative fuels like rice husks, corn cobs, and RDF, with a capacity of 1,300 tons per day, but still faces a shortfall of about 500 tons per day.
