President Director of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. (“Indocement”), Christian Kartawijaya became one of the speakers in the first session of the 2021 Bumee Summit. Christian Kartawijaya delivered the material with the theme “Eco-friendly Pioneer Cement Industry.”

In his presentation, Christian Kartawijaya emphasized that Indocement as a cement company commits to producing green cement that is environmentally friendly. Indocement already has a roadmap to reduce CO2 emissions by 2025 at 580kg CO2/ton cement equivalent, and Indocement has a target to increase the use of alternative fuels by 25% by 2025. Indocement itself has produced various types of green cement, namely PCC, Slag Cement, and hydraulic cement to become an alternative for Ordinary Portland Cement. These products have been used in various infrastructure projects, namely PLTU Batang, PLTU Tanjung Jati, and Patimban Harbor. The existence of this product is in line with the Instruction of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing No. 04/IN/M/2020 regarding the use of Non-OPC cement in construction works at the ministry of public works.

(“Indocement”) received ESG Disclosure Rating Commitment CC status at the 2021 ESG Disclosure Awards held by Investor-Berita Satu Media Holdings (BSMH) Magazine in collaboration with the Global Carbon Foundation (BGKF). This award is a form of appreciation to companies committed to ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) disclosure.
