On Monday, November 22, 2021, the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Jeppe Kofod; The Danish Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Lars Bo Larsen; and delegations from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Indocement Citeureup Plant. They were welcomed by Christian Kartawijaya, President Director; Hasan Imer, Director; Antonius Marcos, Director and Corporate Secretary; Holger Morch, Head of Technology Center; Setia Wijaya, General Manager of Indocement Citeureup Factory Complex; and Soegito Kurniawan, Deputy General Manager of Indocement Citeureup Factory Complex at I-Shelter.
The visit of the honorable guests from Denmark to Indocement was aimed to view Indocement Citeureup Plant, which is one of the largest cement factories in Indonesia, that has committed in realizing a five years roadmap to produce green cement by advancing sustainability strategy and investment by lowering dust emissions in the production process, increasing alternative fuels to replace fossil fuels and producing environmentally friendly cement products.
This is strongly supported by the Danish government, where Denmark is one of the northern European countries which is very concerned about the climate change and global warming, which has made environmental issues as a top priority that needs to be addressed.
