Indocement signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Tanah Bumbu Regency regarding the supply of alternative fuels from processing domestic waste on January 4, 2023 in Citeureup, Bogor. The signing was carried out by the General Manager of Alternative Fuel and Alternative Material, Soegito Kurinawan and the Regional Secretary of Tanah Bumbu Regency, H. Ambo Sakka.
The collaboration is aimed to optimize the management of domestic waste into alternative fuels in Tanah Bumbu Regency. Indocement Tarjun Factory will receive fuel from the processing of 1,200 tons of solid waste per month which is planned to start in mid-2023.
This is clear a evidence of Indocement's efforts to protect the environment by reducing the use of coal in its operations and assisting local governments in solving waste problems.
