The Indocement Cirebon Factory, in collaboration with Sekolah Bangunan Tukang Tiga Roda (Mason Training Program/SETARA) program, facilitates mason from partner villages in obtaining bricklaying competency certification from the Directorate General of Construction Services Center Region III Jakarta of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (KemenPUPR)on March 27, 2024.

The certification event, held at the Indocement training center within the Cirebon Factory, was inaugurated by Mr. Samuel E.D.P Tampubolon, S.E., M.M., Head of the Jakarta Region III Construction Services Center. In his address, Mr. Tampubolon emphasized that mason can elevate their skills and ensure high-quality workmanship, aligning with the principles outlined in Law No. 2 of 2017. This law recognizes the construction services sector as a vital community endeavor, contributing to the creation of buildings that serve as essential infrastructure for socio-economic activities and national development goals.

Under the SETARA program, mason receive comprehensive education covering various aspects of their craft. These include:

1. Mortar Preparation: Builders learn how to create high-quality mortar, ensuring optimal strength for brick masonry.
2. Material Selection: Participants gain insights into choosing suitable building materials, emphasizing durability and functionality.
3. Bricklaying Techniques: The program covers proper bricklaying methods, emphasizing precision and stability.
4. Safety and Health Practices (K3): Builders receive training on occupational safety and health protocols, promoting a secure work environment.
5. Construction Management and Budget Planning: Understanding effective project management and budgeting is crucial for successful construction projects.
6. Mortar Products Knowledge: Builders become familiar with various mortar products, including TR-10, TR-15, TR-20, and TR-30, along with their specific functions and applications.

The SETARA program aims to transform mason into skilled, qualified, and competitive professionals. By equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills, Indocement ensures that its alumni contribute to building resilient communities, exemplified by the construction of Rutilahu in their respective villages.
