PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. (“the Company”) once again triumphs an award at the 2022 Public Relations Awards (PRIA) in the sub-categories of Annual Report as Bronze Winner and Community Based Development as Bronze Winner with the Tiro Agile program – the Wriggle of Indobatik Ciwaringin during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This award was received by Otto Ahadijat, Assistant General Manager of Indocement Cirebon Plant on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Semarang.
Recorded as many as 194 companies and agencies participated in this competition, with a total of 786 entries from the categories of owned media, digital channels, PR programs, CSR programs, crisis management, public relations management manuals, PR department, brand guidelines and annual reports.
PRIA 2022 is a face-to-face meeting for PR practitioners throughout Indonesia after two years carried out online. The awarding night was also began by a conference and workshop session which took place on 23–24 March 2022, with the theme "Beyond Digital Communication: Humanism, Technology, and Empathy". A theme that suggests that the existence of digital technology is a solution when PR has to manage long-distance communications during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its presence is a bridge for PR in building a narrative that contains elements of empathy and humanity to stakeholders.
Technology (information) is a tool that can be used by PR practitioners to create closer communication relations, as well as build interactions that are full of civility. Not the other way around, technology becomes a tool to attribute the human values of every human being who communicates. Civilized, humane, and empathetic communication will help PR practitioners produce a more effective and sustainable communication impact for the organization/corporation. The relevance of communication becomes deeper and more meaningful.
Hope this award can be a trigger to encourage the Company to be the forefront in providing the best for all stakeholders and be a motivation to improve achievements as well as dedication in the future.
