SINOPSIS

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. has established the Center for Research, Training, and Community Empowerment (P4M) at Tiga Roda Edu Green Park in Tajur Village, Citeureup, Bogor Regency, West Java. Covering an area of 10 hectares, this center focuses on research, training, and community development related to agriculture.

One of the research initiatives conducted by P4M is the cultivation of Stingless Bees (Trigona Biroi) for honey production. These stingless bees, also known as Tetragonula biroi, offer unique characteristics. They can be bred almost anywhere and are relatively easy to maintain. Moreover, they are found throughout Indonesia, including urban areas, where they collect resin or sap from specific tree species. Intensive honey production without stings can significantly enhance the economic well-being of communities around the company. This book serves as a knowledge resource for readers interested in venturing into stingless beekeeping with Trigona Biroi.
