PT Indocement Tuggal Prakarsa Tbk. (“Indocement”), succeeded in winning the Annual Report Award (ARA) for 2023 financial year in Non-Financial Non-BUMN/Non-BUMD category. This award was received by Dani Handajani, Corporate Secretary of Indocement on Monday, October 7 2024, in Jakarta.
ARA is an annual award organized by the National Committee for Governance Policy (KNKG) which aims to encourage transparency in the disclosure of corporate governance practices and sustainability in annual reports, with participants from various companies including public/non-public companies, BUMN/BUMD, companies from the financial/non-financial sector.
The holding of ARA 2023 this time emphasizes the importance of an integrated annual report that puts historical performance into context and describes the risks, opportunities, and future prospects of the corporation, thereby helping shareholders and stakeholders understand the corporation's strategic objectives and its progress in creating sustainable value.
The general criteria for ARA 2023 assessment are disclosure of annual reports and sustainability reports based on SE OJK No. 16/2021 concerning the Form and Content of Annual Reports and Technical Guidelines for Preparing Sustainability Reports, as well as providing additional value for disclosures based on several recommendations from the General Guidelines for Indonesian Corporate Governance and questions from the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.
135 companies have passed the first stage, Indocement advanced to the interview stage along with 25 other companies. Indocement's interview session was held on September 18 2024, represented by Simon Subrata, Deputy President Commissioner/Independent Commissioner; Christian Kartawijaya, President Director; Dani Handajani, Corporate Secretary; Gadang Wardono, CSR Manager; and Riviera Tiatira, Compliance Officer, until finally Indocement was selected as one of the winners based on the assessment of the jury.
Hopefully this award will further motivate Indocement to continue to improve its performance with integrity and comply with regulations, as well as encourage the disclosure of information to the public in a transparent and accountable manner, so that the trust of stakeholders can continue to be maintained.
