Indocement was invited to the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Jakarta RDF Plant owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government in Rorotan, North Jakarta on May 13, 2024. Present at this event were Indocement's President Director Christian Kartawijaya, Indocement's Director Oey Marcos, and General Manager of Energy & Alternative Fuel and Alternative Material (EAFAM) Soegito Kurniawan.
The Jakarta RDF Plant, built on a land area of 7.78 hectares, is capable of processing as much as 2,500 tons of waste per day to produce 875 tons of RDF. This RDF will later be purchased by Indocement to replace the use of coal. The Jakarta RDF Plant, which costs IDR 1.28 trillion, is expected to be operational by December 2024.
This is a second collaboration between Indocement and the Jakarta Provincial Government. Previously, Indocement was also a TPST Bantargebang RDF offtaker.
