SYNOPSIS: 

PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Tarjun Unit Operation is committed to innovate continuously in environmental aspect every year. These innovations were conducted in July 2021 to June 2022 with topic of Natural Resources, such as energy efficiency, conventional emissions reduction, CO2 emissions reduction, hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste reduction and utilization, as well as biodiversity. 

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. Tarjun Unit Operation has been implementing the Expert System for Finish Mill (ES-FILL) program since 2021, which can reduce energy consumption by 15.288,96 GJ in 2021 and 8.623,15 GJ in 2022.  The company has also been innovating in air pollution control through GUNNERS Program (Reduction in the Usage of Fossil Fuels), successfully reducing 37.759,22 tons of CO2e in 2021 and 15.840,72 tons of CO2e in 2022. In terms of water criteria, the company’s innovation program was through modifying the pipeline of clean water production process which can reduce the pollutant loads in the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) by 2.511 kg of COD and saved 26.165 m3 of water. 

Regarding to hazardous waste criteria, the company has conducted program which can reduce laboratory liquid waste from 0,68 tons to 0,58 tons by Reducing the Frequency of Clinker Analysis using Wet Chemistry Methods. Meanwhile in the non-hazardous waste criteria, the company has produced Nutrikan (Fish Nutrition) which derived from Indocement’s internal food waste and successfully reducing 10,08 tons of food waste. Additionally, the company has made innovations in biodiversity by creating I-BOS (Indocement Bird on Stages) program, resulting in 11 bird species rediscoveries.
