In order to enhance cooperation in the education sector, Indocement Tarjun Plant signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of education, research, human resource development, community service; Independent Learning-Campus Independence program (program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka); business development; and other activities that are necessary and mutually agreed upon with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the ULM Directorate Room, Banjarmasin.

This activity was attended by the General Manager of Indocement Tarjun Factory, H. Agus Fahri Rasad, accompanied by Indocement Management and Training / HRGAS Department Team; and from ULM attended by ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., Vice Rector of General Affairs Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmad Maulana Akbar, M.Si., IPU, Vice Rector of Planning, Cooperation, and Public Relations, Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc.

The signing of this MoU is a follow-up to various cooperation activities between Indocement and ULM, this MoU becomes the legal umbrella for the implementation of cooperation between the two parties, so that in the form of cooperation carried out in the form of mutual agreement including education, research, community service research, and as an effort of the company to realize its commitment to environmental preservation (green innovation) and fulfillment of PROPER.

This cooperation program is also an effort to realize one of the forms of cooperation activities and concrete steps of Indocement who are very concerned about the world of education, which is implemented through vocational training and education to improve the quality of human resources and competencies of apprenticeship participants, research so that they can become job seekers who are superior, professional and competent in facing the Industrial Era 4.0.

It is hoped that the signing of this MoU can inspire other companies in South Kalimantan to carry out similar cooperation with educational institutions.
